No sawmill. Just a table saw, a band saw, a planer, and a set of chisels.
Most of the wood I use comes from trees that have fallen around Kansas City—usually from storms or from clearing land for new housing developments. Juniper (cedar), sycamore, osage orange, and oak are common.
I'm always happy to take custom orders without charging a premium. My goal is to make something you’ll actually use and enjoy.

I use wood most woodworkers wouldn’t give a second thought, pieces with tall steeples of cathedral grain that contractors run away from—screaming. Knots, checks, and other quirks that aren’t structural problems add texture.
The most interesting pieces are the ones with personality—or the ones that are a little ... cattywampus.
